The 142nd annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, known as the nation’s most prestigious dog show, is coming up February 12-13, 2018 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It’s enjoyed through prime time coverage by dog lovers, young and old, everywhere.
But Row by Row could challenge the Westminster for top canine billing with this line up of “On the Go!” rows from 2017.
It turns out that we have lots of dog loving quilt shop owners out there. They had a great time this past summer designing their rows and creating displays in their shops. We hope you enjoy seeing them just as much as we did collecting them for this article.
We have 32 diverse and whimsical rows for your dog viewing pleasure. We added a few shop photos that were too good to leave out and some other four-legged friends came to the party too. Which will you give the Best of Show ribbon?
2/12/2018 Editor’s note: We now have 35 dog rows for you to enjoy. Three additional rows from Alaska have been added. Thank you for letting us know about them. We really appreciate you!
Row by Row Junior for kids was launched for the first time in 2017. One of the Junior patterns was a long dog named “Rover.” See him below (in brown) on display with his kennel mates on the row from Piece Works Quilt Shop in Winterset, Iowa.
You could find Rover everywhere in the summer of 2017. The Squirrel’s Nest shop in Sierra Vista, Arizona, made up this “sew creative” quilt with five Rovers. Look closely at the fabric prints and the names on the water bowls. Sew much fun!
Zebra Patterns’ beloved FabricPlates joined the canine fun too!
We hope you enjoyed our Westminster “Row” Show. It was brought to you by the Row by Row Junior kids. We’re committed to introducing them to the benefits of learning how to sew. Ask your local quilt shop to offer Junior this summer.
If we missed a 2017 dog row or left anybody out, leave us a comment below and we’ll add it. We hope you enjoyed our Row by Row Dog Show.
